n addition to our Radiation Medicine Suite, Chemotherapy Infusion Suite and Breast Care Center (hospital- and community-based), we have dedicated Medical Oncology and Surgical Oncology inpatient care units.
Located on the seventh floor of Bridgeport Hospital, the Medical Oncology Unit is provides integrated care and treatment for adult men and women with cancer. We offer a wide range of expert services to promote healing and help patients recover, through all stages of the disease.
Services and amenities include:
- a cancer resource library for patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
- an outpatient infusion room
- 3 dedicated Hospice suites
Patient are treated by a highly qualified team of specialists who provide compassionate care and emotional support. Our team includes 12 certified oncology nurses, a nurse practitioner (APRN), oncology social workers, a bilingual (Spanish) oncology social worker and case managers.
